can plan routes at home with a map, and save them to the watch. In the field, the watch can tell you which way to go, how fast you’re moving, how far you’ve traveled, how far you have to go, and when you will get there.

This watch was voted ‘Best Product of 2004′ by Fortune Magazine (issue 12/2004).

GPS: 12 Channels, Integrated Loop Antenna, GPS be turned on at any time to obtain precise positioning

The Suunto G9 is a big but stylish watch. Designed specifically for golfers, it features specific software for playing golf, allowing golfers to download course data to the watch. As the golfers play, the watch can tell them the distance to a pin, a sand trap, or a water hazard. The watch can also record the distance a golfer is hitting with each club. After a couple of rounds, the watch can recommend club selection. Golfers can even download and review their results on their home PC and upload information to SuuntoSports.com. A day of golf with the GPS on drains the battery, so golfers will have to recharge it before using the GPS again. A battery meter is included on the watch. Also, not many courses have been mapped for GPS usage, so plan on spending a day walking and programming a course.
